I am officially 4 months post relaxer, and I’ve been wearing curly styles and buns ever since my new growth started coming in. Sooooo, I decided to use my heat pass for the year, and flat ironed my hair! I probably should have waited a couple months until it got colder, but I couldn’t help it. Hopefully the humidity doesn’t completely kill my hair before I get to enjoy it lol.
The products I used were:
Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray
GVP Silk Remedy (Sally’s off-brand version of Chi Silk Infusion)
Revlon Perfect Heat Tourmaline Ceramic Straightener

My hair is now wrapped, and tied under a satin scarf. I’ll leave that for the rest of the night, and see what it looks like tomorrow.

i transitioned for 11 months before i just couldnt take the breakage anymore and chopped my hair off lol.. heat was a bad bad idea i soon learned with my own hair lol. good luck on your journey!

Beautiful! What setting of heat did you use on your flat iron?
Thanks! My flat iron goes from 0-30 and I put it on 15. I would guess that’s no more than 350 degrees, probably less.
